In this informative presentation, we will learn about the differences in ADA and TAS, understand pain points for facility owners and managers, and review Owner responsibilities under each Standard.

Meghan Simecek is a Registered Accessibility Specialist and Registered Interior Designer in the State of Texas. As a designer, Meghan quickly realized her passion for people of differing abilities, and her love of the “why” and the “who” of accessibility. Because of this, she opened Texas Accessibility Group in early 2017, where she provides state required TDLR Elimination of Architectural Barriers services.  Meghan is the President of the Texas Chapter of Accessibility Professionals Association. She holds a Bachelor of Interior Design from Texas Tech University, and teaches part-time at Houston Community College.  In her free time, Meghan enjoys reading, sewing, women’s soccer, college football, volunteering, and entertaining.
